The end of the World Series of Poker always leaves a bit of a void. After weeks of nonstop grinding, wall-to-wall action, and bracelet dreams, the calendar suddenly opens up, but that doesn’t mean the poker is done. Not by a long shot.
This summer, players looking to keep the momentum going or shake off a tough Vegas trip won’t have to wait long. As the WSOP wraps up in Las Vegas, the RunGood Poker Series lands at Thunder Valley Casino Resort for its season-ending Final Orbit, a 22-event festival running July 14 through August 4.
It’s a three-week schedule packed with marquee guarantees, fan-favorite formats, and one final chance to chase a seven-figure prize pool.
The action begins with Thunder Valley’s $400 Monolith, running July 17–20. With a $250,000 guarantee and a loyal local following, it regularly exceeds expectations and is set to be the perfect tone-setter for the Final Orbit.
The signature event of the series is the $2,700 buy-in, $1,000,000 guaranteed Million Dollar Main Event, set to run August 1–4 as the grand finale. PokerNewswill be on-site for full live coverage, tracking every hand, hero call, and chip swing right through to the winner’s photo.
Before the final weekend fireworks, the middle portion of the series is anchored by the $600 Hendon Mob Mid-Major Championship, running July 25–28 with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. A consistent highlight of the RGPS calendar, the THMC event provides a deep structure and accessible buy-in and PokerNewswill also be live reporting this event from start to finish.

Players who want to lock up entries into all three major weekends can take a shot in the $650 Package Satellite on July 16, where each winner earns $4,100 in entries, covering the Monolith, Mid-Major, and Million Dollar Main. Leading up to that satellite will be a series of $130 Step Satellites, offering even more affordable chances to get in on the action.
Beyond the three headliners, the Final Orbit includes a handful of standout events. The $1,000 Head-to-Head Championship, scheduled for August 1. It’s capped at 64 players, and registration is in-person only, starting when the series opens on July 14.
Also back on the schedule are a pair of six-figure guarantee events designed to mix things up. The $300 Action8 runs July 20–24 and lives up to its name with a structure where the ante equals the combined small and big blinds. The $500 Summit Stack, scheduled for July 27–30, offers a deeper structure and a more deliberate pace, but still comes with a $100,000 guarantee.
