A standard 52-card deck is used to play the popular card game Rummy Mate. Sets and runs of cards in one's hand are the object of this game, which can accommodate two to six slots winnersplayers. Runs are sequences of three or more successive cards of the same suit, whereas sets are made up of three or four cards of the same rank. One set of cards is dealt to each player at the start of the game; the remaining cards are used to create the draw pile. To begin the discard pile, the top card from the draw pile is turned face up.
